In the Finnish Arctic, plants grow under some of the most extreme conditions on earth. Long, dark winters and short summers filled with continuous light slow their growth and demand resilience.

These conditions force Arctic herbs, flowers, and berries to concentrate their protective compounds, developing exceptional strength, potency, and antioxidant richness as a natural response to their environment. This is why plants that grow in the North are among the most powerful botanicals in the world.

Finland’s clean soil, pure water, and unpolluted air allow these plants to grow without interference, preserving their natural integrity from root to leaf.

By working gently with these wild-grown botanicals, we carry this concentrated strength into everyday rituals of care – for skin, hair, and wellbeing – allowing nature’s resilience to remain intact.

At Nörre Nordic, we work closely with the land, from forest and meadow to the final ritual.
When the Finnish summer returns after the long winter, we begin gathering wild Arctic plants by hand. Herbs and botanicals such as yarrow, meadowsweet, fireweed, lady’s mantle, birch leaves and self-heal are harvested slowly and with care, always from clean, undisturbed areas far from roads, cities, and industry.

Alongside wildcrafting, we cultivate a small organic garden where medicinal plants are grown in rhythm with the seasons. Calendula, cornflower, blackcurrant, nettle, raspberry leaf, and other botanicals are tended gently and harvested at their peak.

After gathering, plants are dried carefully at low temperatures soon after harvest to preserve their natural strength and vitality. We work in small batches and avoid long storage times, allowing the plants’ potency to remain as intact as possible as they move from nature into rituals of care.

Every product is made by hand in small batches, allowing care, freshness, and quality to remain at the centre of our work.

Dried herbs are slowly infused into high-quality organic sunflower oil using a traditional six-week infusion process. This unhurried method allows the full spectrum of plant compounds to transfer gently into the oil, preserving their natural strength and vitality.

These infusions are then blended with carefully selected Finnish CO₂-extracted berry seed oils, such as sea buckthorn, lingonberry, and blackcurrant, chosen for their nourishing properties and compatibility with both skin and hair. All oils are cold-pressed or CO₂-extracted to maintain their purity and effectiveness.

For our herbal powders and masks, plants are freshly ground just before each production cycle, ensuring their active compounds remain intact. Working in this way allows the plants’ potency to be carried through with minimal processing.
